2020 has been a tough year for everyone – with life as we know it being turned on its head. Despite all the difficulties, one Leon resident explains that moving into Leon at just the right time made all the difference to his life in lockdown.
Chris Ford, a 35-year-old HR professional working in London’s banking world, has been living the Leon lifestyle since March. Having moved onto the 16th floor just a few days before lockdown, Chris believes his new home has made the last few months more bearable
Chris explained: “The view from my apartment and the roof garden absolutely made my lockdown. I’m not being dramatic when I say that having so much light, a view to look out on, and access to fresh air with the garden, has preserved my mental health.”
Croydon local, Chris stumbled across the redevelopment taking place at Leon House on Facebook back in 2018: “Leon House is a well-known building here and certainly one of the most recognised buildings in our local landscape – I actually used to walk by Leon House everyday on my way to school!
“I viewed the apartment in 2018 while it was still being renovated and was blown away. I started saving right away for my deposit because, for me, it was the dream place to live. Not only could I stay in my hometown, close to family and friends, but I would also feel like I’m living in a New York hotel. I thought an apartment like this would be impossible if I stayed in Croydon. Never in my wildest dreams would my childhood self have imagined living in a luxury apartment in Leon House. I think the redevelopment is fantastic.”
Chris adds: “I really don’t know how I would have coped had I not moved in before lockdown. I would absolutely recommend the Leon lifestyle to other people!”
Top three advantages of being locked down in Leon:
Space to catch your breath and soak up a little Vitamin-D during your downtime is a valuable commodity right now – especially for city dwellers. Leon’s roof garden is proving to be a much welcome oasis for residents during this stressful time.
Not only do your floor to ceiling windows provide morning to night daylight – helping to maintain mood and brain function – Leon residents also have far-reaching views of London, helping to re-establish a sense of connection to the outside world.
For those WFH days when you just can’t bear to stare at the same four walls once again, you’ll have an elegant and clean workspace downstairs to use whenever you wish. Complete with high-speed WiFi and ample plug sockets, social distancing is easily achieved in the privacy of your own building.
Over 90% of the apartments at Leon House are now sold. To avoid missing out on a life-changing move, get in touch with our team today to book in for your viewing – whether that’s virtually or one-to-one in person.
